About Me

Hello, I’m Shannon De Luca (she/her), a Registered Psychologist working in private practice in Perth, Western Australia.

I have significant experience in the delivery of eating disorder treatment, having worked in both private practice and private day hospital settings. I was part of the original team at the Esus Centre, Australia’s first integrated day hospital for eating disorders. Here I worked across outpatient psychology and group day programs, including coordinating and facilitating the Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT) skills classes, and co-facilitating the group Schema Therapy Program.

My area of expertise is supporting adolescents (12+) and adults who are experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns, however I also support people navigating a range of mental health presentations, including anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I value the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship, aiming to create a space where clients feel safe to be vulnerable and authentic. Being trusted to be part of a client’s recovery is an absolute privilege and I care deeply about holding hope for those who feel stuck. I recognise that recovery is unique to each person, and I am passionate about supporting client’s to build empowerment and create meaningful change.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking my very active cavoodle on adventures, summer beach days, shopping, camping, and sipping on coffee in the sunshine.
